The roastery
Quiet Mill started in 2019 in a rented corner of an old grain mill. We kept the name, the beams and the slow pace.
What we do
We roast, we cup, we pack. Three people, one drum roaster, a sample roaster for new lots and a lot of coffee tasting on Fridays. Every batch is logged and tasted before it is released for sale.
Visitors are welcome on Saturday mornings. Come for a coffee, watch a roast, take a bag home.

Our principles
Buy fewer coffees and buy them well. Roast only as much as we can sell in two weeks. Pack in recyclable paper with a compostable liner. Say plainly what is in the bag.
